“Molen” was created from a small hair salon in neutral bay called “ReNCOUNTER”
Hello, my name is Hide, a hairstylist living in Sydney, Australia with my wife and four children.
Eight years ago, I opened a small hair salon and initially, we hardly had any customers. However, we emphasised on connections made through word of mouth rather than advertising, focusing on creating a community through our salon. This space also served as a place where people could meet and express various activities.
However, due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2021, we had to close our salon for a few months.
Subsequently, I experienced my first jobs outside of hairstyling by helping in the restaurant industry and organic vegetable delivery.
During the delivery of organic vegetables, I received a lot of splendid organic lemons from customers. These lemons led to the creation of the world's most eco-friendly lemon products that even children can safely consume, with the help of everyone in the community created through our salon.
We aim to create a sustainable society by collaborating with local producers and organic products, rather than large corporations. Along with Molen, we want to lead a life that is delicious, fun, and educational, kind to the earth, ourselves, and others. We strongly hope that a recyclable society will be connected to the next generation.

After 5 years of experience as a hairstylist in Tokyo, I relocated to Australia in 2006. In 2014, I launched "atelier by ReNCOUNTER," focusing on building a community. From 2015, we developed eco-friendly hair products. In 2017, we opened "CREATE by ReNCOUNTER," hosting events and a donation cafe. In 2021, we released "MOLEN," a lemon product born from our salon community. We value transforming chance encounters into meaningful connections, providing personalised hair designs, and fostering a community through our salon.

Born and raised in Tokyo, I am a certified honey therapy practitioner, astrologer, and Australian Bush Flower Essence Practitioner. Residing in Sydney after years in Hong Kong and Singapore, my journey into health and food coaching began with the birth of my daughter. I now offer holistic wellness support, emphasizing the importance of honey as an energy source, aligned with my vision to help individuals shine and smile more.

Moved to Australia when I was 18, right after high school in Japan. Started as a barista, but eventually balanced work in marketing with university studies for couple years.

COVID-19 made me rethink everything, and prompting me to start a recruitment business with a Japanese partner. I joined "CREATE by ReNCOUNTER" in 2021, met Morén, Now living in Tasmania from couple years ago, I’m eager to explore the future of our planet with you all.

Born in Okayama, I'm a certified international sake sommelier. After transitioning to the food and beverage industry, I founded Imamura Sauce and Dressing, focusing on additive-free foods for a delightful palate. I also promote awamori. Passionate about crafting cocktails and pickles with local ingredients. Contributed to the establishment of Australia's Bayside Yakiniku Club. Future plans include local market stalls, pop-up cocktail bars, and fermentation workshops.
